The New Music Course with Ermis Theodorakis 

 

International Course for Pianists and Composers engaged in Contemporary Music for Piano Solo

[January 12 – 18, 2026, Koper, Slovenia]

As a participant composer, you will:

 

— Receive individual reading sessions of your concluded works or works in progress with Ermis Theodorakis.

 

— Listen to the individual lessons of fellow participants.

 

– Attend the mentor's lecture, titled Contemporary performance practice: Developing learning methods and strategies for complex musical contexts.

 

– Participate in a round table with fellow participants, the mentor, and festival representatives at the 10th International Festival of Contemporary Music Biennale Koper on January 17, 2026.* 

 

— Receive a performance of your submitted work by Ermis Theodorakis in the frame of the 10th International Festival of Contemporary Music Biennale Koper on January 18, 2025.* 

 

— Engage in dialogue and discussion with the mentor and fellow participating performers and composers.

*Please note: only selected concluded works will be performed. Inclusion of any particular work in the program depends on the number of applicants, the quality of submitted works, and possible technical restrictions. The compositions for performance will be selected by the mentor. Composers of the selected works will be notified in advance. Participation in the round table discussion is selective.
